Tilly’s Cottage in All Saints Street is an 18th century cottage in one of the oldest & most photographed streets in Hastings. Some of the buildings date back to the 15th century, Tudor period.
The accommodation comprises one large double bedroom, one twin bedroom, plus a Z-bed.
First floor bathroom with bath and electric shower.
The comfortable lounge has a TV, radio, DVD and video player.
The large kitchen/dinning room, is equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge, and washing machine.
There is also a ground floor bathroom with bath and shower.
And a small Sun-lounge.
The stepped garden is maturely planted with a variety of pretty trees and shrubs has two patios areas with seating and rooftop views over the Old Town. Here you can enjoy an evening barbecue on the raised terrace. (Barbecue, table & chairs provided).
A TWO MINUTE (flat) WALK will take you to the seafront and the Stade Fishing Harbour, here you can watch the fishing boats unload their catch, and buy fresh fish from the fish market.
Also in this area of 'Rock-o Nore' you will find The Aquarium ,The Shipwreck Heritage Museum, The Life Boat Visitors Centre. The Fishermens Museum, The Minature Railway, as well as an assortment of shops and cafes.
The sea front promenade runs from the Stade along side the beach past Hastings Pier all the way to St Leonards-on sea it is completly flat and is great for walkers and cyclers.
A TWO MINUTE (flat) WALK brings you to the Old Town High Street with art galleries and curio shops to browse and a fine selection of cafes and tea shops. Also to George Street, famous for it antique and off the wall shops and its bistros and wine bars. From here you can take the West Cliff Railway Lift to Hastings Castle and the Smugglers Caves.
Through the cottage garden gate a FIVE MINUTE WALK, will take you to the top of the East Cliff. To Hastings County Park (0r you can use the East Cliff Railway lift.) From here walkers are offered spectacular views of the English Channel and Beachy Head.
A TWO MINUTE (flat) WALK away is the very popular Stables Theatre where some excellent plays & productions are staged.
Enjoy a stroll around other tiny winding streets (known as twittens) of Hastings Historic Old Town, where the I.T.V Television Drama, FOYLES WAR is filmed. You will see all the locations including Detective Foyles House.
